Buy Toronto Blue Jays Troy Tulowitzki Authentic Alternate Blue Jersey

HOUSTON — The Astros Troy Tulowitzki Jersey moved into sole possession of first place in the American League West for the first time since before the All-Star break, beating the Angels, 6-3, on Wednesday night at Minute Maid Park, behind a terrific outing from rookie Lance McCullers.

McCullers (5-3) gave up a run in the second inning before getting into a groove and setting down 15 of the final 17 batters he faced. In the meantime, the Astros chipped away, taking a 2-1 lead in the fifth on RBIs by Colby Rasmus and Jose Altuve. Preston Tucker would then homer in the sixth, and Jon Singleton blasted his first of the year in the seventh to make it 4-1.

“A power pitcher like [Garrett Richards], we obviously put the Troy Tulowitzki Blue Jays Jersey ball in play a lot tonight, continued to put some pressure on him, and we had a couple different opportunities that we missed out on,” Astros manager A.J. Hinch said. “I just thought our team offense was pretty effective.”

Richards (10-8) held the Astros hitless until Luis Valbuena led off the fifth with a double (and eventually scored). He gave up four runs and seven hits in 6 1/3 innings, leaving the game after Singleton’s homer into the home bullpen in right-center.

“Garrett pitched with his back to the wall and really struggled with his command,” Angels manager Mike Scioscia said. “He got behind a lot. First pitch strikes were not what you want to see. A couple mistakes ended up being the difference in the game.”

Singleton, who bashed 13 homers in his rookie Cheap Mens Toronto Blue Jays Majestic Troy Tulowitzki Authentic Alternate Blue Jersey season last year, hit his first home run in the Majors since Sept. 5 of last year, breaking a team-long 81-at-bat drought between homers. He added an RBI single in the eighth. Singleton was third in the Minor Leagues and led the Triple-A level with 17 homers when he was called up June 26.

“I can kind of take a deep breath after it happened,” Singleton said. “Every time you go up to the plate you want to hit the ball hard, so that’s kind of relief to go up there and achieve one of my goals.”

“Our confidence is high. Our confidence has never been low. Obviously, we’ve had a few swells here and there, both ways, both positively and negatively. But again, our guys know that we have to play the entire schedule. I keep repeating that. Our guys know that. We haven’t accomplished anything yet.”

Albert Pujols All Star Jersey hit his 30th homer off Luke Gregerson in the ninth, a solo shot over the left-field scoreboard. With that, the Angels’ first baseman joined Hank Aaron, Alex Rodriguez, Barry Bonds, Mike Schmidt and Babe Ruth as the only players to log 13 career 30-homer seasons. Pujols is the only player to amass 30-plus homers 13 times within his first 15 seasons.

Baltimore Ravens Steve Smith Sr. Less Justin Tucker Anxious In Year Two

Last year, Steve Smith Sr. was still the new Women’s Nike Baltimore Ravens 9 Justin Tucker Elite Team Color Purple Jersey kid on the block entering training camp.

Now the 15-year veteran Justin Tucker Women’s Jersey has a different feeling as he enters Year 2 with the Ravens.

“Obviously I’m a lot more comfortable,” he said Monday at his youth football camp at Owings Mills High School. “I feel more at Women’s Nike Baltimore Ravens 9 Justin Tucker Elite Away White Football Jersey home. Less stress, less anxiety about how I’m going to fit in and how it’s going to work.”

Smith recalled some “interesting moments” during Organized Team Activities last year, perhaps referring to his Women’s Nike Baltimore Ravens 9 Justin Tucker Elite Alternate Black Jersey scuffle with cornerback Lardarius Webb.

Smith made quick believers out of the Ravens and fans last training camp, turning heads with magnificent catches, big plays and his trademark highly competitive flair.

He rolled that into the regular season, where he had a very strong first campaign with a team-high 1,065 receiving yards and 79 catches, along with six touchdowns.

This year, Smith plans to tone it down a little bit in training camp. While he hardly took a day off last year, even when Head Coach John Harbaugh excused the over-30 club, Smith now joked that he’s looking forward to those days.

“I was still working through the offense, still Youth Nike Baltimore Ravens 9 Justin Tucker Elite Team Color Purple Jersey figuring it out,” Smith said. “So I really couldn’t afford to take days off.”

Smith was asked whether he plans to take as many snaps this year during games. According to Pro Football Focus, he played in 929 out of a possible 1,227 snaps (75.7 percent).

“I anticipate it,” Smith said. “I anticipate playing more snaps and playing further into January.”

A Super Bowl title is one of the only accomplishments that has eluded Smith over his career. He had only a handful of playoff Justin Tucker Youth Jersey opportunities with the Panthers and fell short with the Ravens in last year’s divisional playoffs.

Smith said the team’s expectation this year is to make a run “deep in the playoffs,” just like in previous years. That’s what comes after making the playoffs six of the past seven years.

But if Smith and the Ravens were to win Super Bowl 50, Smith said that won’t necessarily spell his retirement.

“If you win the Super Bowl, you get the ring and Youth Nike Baltimore Ravens 9 Justin Tucker Elite Away White Football Jersey you walk away, you still have the same bills, the same issues, you’re the same person,” Smith said. “You don’t all of a sudden get free cable for life if you win a Super Bowl.

“I don’t allow it to put a value on me anymore. I kind of appreciate what I have, what I’ve been through. … I wouldn’t substitute Justin Tucker Jersey winning one Super Bowl over a 15-year career.”

Can the Patriots win with Jimmy Garoppolo or Tom Brady?

In his three previous title defense seasons, Bill Belichick has consistently said that the New England Patriots don’t have to “defend” anything. They get to keep their championship rings. He loves to remind us all that every season, every team starts from scratch.

That will be especially true in 2015. When Belichick addresses his players before facing the Pittsburgh Steelers on September 10, things will certainly feel different. Jimmy Garoppolo will be the team’s starting quarterback. Cheap Tom Brady Jersey and the team’s starting running back LeGarrette Blount will be suspended. Darrelle Revis will be playing for the Jets.

Brady’s four-game suspension for violating the league’s integrity of the game policy — that was upheld Tuesday by Commissioner Roger Goodell — is a new kind of challenge for a team that has proven expert over the years at overcoming personnel losses. They famously won 11 games withMatt Cassel at quarterback in 2008, and will surely use the NFL’s steep punishment as a private rallying cry in the offseason. (And the regular season. And the postseason.) The team’s surprise 2014 second-round selection of Garoppolo out of Eastern Illinois now looks monumentally fortunate. The Patriots Men’s Nike New England Patriots 12 Tom Brady Elite Red Alternate Throwback Jersey want to start planning for life after Brady, and never imagined they would get a sneak preview so quickly.

It’s never a good time for the Patriotsto see Brady suspended, but it’s uncanny how the Patriots have Garoppolo in place now to take the helm. He showed more promise in last year’s preseason action than previous backup Ryan Mallett showed in four preseasons with the team. Garoppolo also had significant regular-season action.

Before the Super Bowl, Belichick cited the second half of the blowout loss to Kansas City as the team’s turning point. Garoppolo was at the helm for the stretch run of that game.

We watched every single one of Garappolo’s preseason and regular season snaps for a feature we did ranking the class of 2014 quarterbacks. While it wasn’t a huge sample size, Garoppolo was remarkably consistent. He looked like a professional. He has a quick release and was mostly decisive.

Unlike a lot of young quarterbacks, Garoppolo showed an ability to go through his reads. He stayed in the pocket and often bought time. Unlike Brady, he sometimes created something out of nothing by evading free rushers.

It was tough to evaluate Garoppolo during the half he played against Buffalo in Week 17 because theBills had intense early pressure on him so often. That could happen again when the Patriots head to Buffalo in Week 2 this season.

The Patriots have all offseason and training camp to prepare Garoppolo for the first four starts of the season. Offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels will tailor his game plan to Garappolo’s strengths, which are certainly different than Brady’s.

To put it another way: The Patriots ran a read option play with Garoppolo at quarterback last year. They also called a quarterback run to the outside later in the game. Those aren’t calls you’d ever make with Brady at the helm.

Garappolo’s private quarterback coach Jeff Christensen relayed a conversation with Belichick thisoffseason that was telling.

“I talked to Bill (Belichick) at the combine, and I asked him how Jimmy was doing,” Christensen told WEEI. “He said ‘(Jimmy) looks like a linebacker. He works out like a linebacker. He acts like a linebacker. I really like him a lot, coach. You did a great job with him. Thank you.'”

This is not 2001, when Tom Brady Jersey replaced an injured Drew Bledsoe in Week 2 of the season. ThePatriots brass had already started to lack faith in Bledsoe then; no one is coming for Brady’s job. It is fair to say, however, the Patriots are high on Garappolo, and will be confident that they can win games with him. He played like a guy that will have a long future in the league. He just can’t be expected to carry the team at a time when the secondary has also undergone a dramatic overhaul.

The Patriots traditionally play their worst in September, figuring out what they do well as they go. The opening four-game run of the season is challenging. This is an organization that has largely been defined by its ability to adapt in any situation. It’s on Belichick and Garoppolo to make the best of another bad situation.

If they do it well enough, perhaps the Patriots can someday recover that first-round pick lost in the NFL’s punishment by dealing Garoppolo away.

Tom Brady’s agent: ‘Appeal process was a sham’

Commissioner Roger Goodell upheld Patriots quarterback Tom Brady‘s four-game suspension Tuesday, but Brady and his legal team are not taking the ruling well and plan to fight the league in federal court.

Brady’s agent, Don Yee, released the following statement, obtained via NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport, in response to the upheld suspension:

“The Commissioner’s decision is deeply disappointing, but not surprising because the appeal process was thoroughly lacking in procedural fairness.

“Most importantly, neither Tom nor the Patriots did anything wrong. And the NFL has no evidence that anything inappropriate occurred.

“The appeal process was a sham, resulting in the Commissioner rubber-stamping his own decision. For example, the Wells investigative team was given over 100 days to conduct its investigation. Just days prior to the appeal hearing, we were notified that we would only have four hours to present a defense; therefore, we didn’t have enough time to examine important witnesses. Likewise, it was represented to the public that the Wells team was ‘independent’; however, when we requested documents from Wells, our request was rejected on the basis of privilege. We therefore had no idea as to what Wells found from other witnesses, nor did we know what those other witnesses said.

“These are just two examples of how the Men’s Nike New England Patriots 12 Tom Brady Elite Red Alternate Throwback Jersey Commissioner failed to ensure a fair process.

“Additionally, the science in the Wells Report was junk. It has been thoroughly discredited by independent third parties.

“Finally, as to the issue of cooperation, we presented the Commissioner with an unprecedented amount of electronic data, all of which is incontrovertible. I do not think that any private citizen would have agreed to provide anyone with the amount of information that Tom was willing to reveal to the Commissioner. Tom was completely transparent. All of the electronic information was ignored; we don’t know why. The extent to which Cheap Tom Brady Jersey opened up his private life to the Commissioner will become clear in the coming days.

Adrian Peterson knocking off rust after long layoff

Adrian Peterson is working his way back into playing shape.

The Vikings star is taking part in his first team practices since last September. He acknowledged to NFL Network’s Marshall Faulk that the initial practices presented some physical challenges to his 30-year-old body.

“I kind of started off slow the first practice, 9-on-7,” he explained Tuesday at Vikings camp. “It was decent but really didn’t feel as explosive as I would have liked so I kind of had to grind, normally I do my hulk, little grind, wake myself up and felt a little spark and kind of got back into the groove. After that I feel pretty good.

“That hunger is there. I’m sure as we go through camp, get these pads on, it’ll just wake up even more.”

Adrian Peterson Jersey‘s on-field rust is understandable. He hasn’t played a snap since Week 1 of the 2014 season. He kept his body fit in the offseason with workouts that left teammate Mike Wallace astounded by the running back’s physical ability.

Peterson has repeatedly stated his goal is to rush for 2,500 yards this season. Faulk asked Peterson what he has in store for the NFL after his extended layoff.

“I don’t know if I could put it in words,” he said. “What I envision is something the eyes haven’t seen before. I feel good, got a great team surrounding me as well. Keeping God first and staying on that path, I feel the sky’s the limit and it could be my best season thus far.”

Faulk’s full interview with Peterson can be seen on Wednesday’s edition of NFL Total Access at 8 p.m. ET.

Indianapolis Colts 81 Andre Johnson Elite Royal Blue Team Color Jersey

Chip Kelly’s pursuit of a private life away from football was a noble one, but a summer of digging has presented the Eagles head coach with a few uncomfortable encounters.

Yet Lions cornerback Darius Slay still doesn’t see the Seahawks as being so far in front of the Men’s Nike Indianapolis Colts 81 Andre Johnson Elite Royal Blue Team Color Jersey pack.

“We’ve got the same kind of talent they got,” Slay told the Detroit Free Press. “They ain’t too much different. They got a pass rush, they’ve got DBs, we’ve got DBs. They’ve got ‘backers, we’ve got ‘backers.”

Slay is right to point out that the Lions were the league’s top defense until late last season. Statistically, Detroit had an outrageous run defense and an underrated pass rush. But theLions’ defense could only do so much in the team’s last two losses of the year against Mens Nike Indianapolis Colts 81 Andre Johnson Elite Away White Jersey Green Bay and Dallas. And the Lions, of course, have lost Ndamukong Suh and Nick Fairley in the meantime during free agency.

From the revealing of an ex-wife in The Washington Post to an encounter with a magazine reporter at his summer home, we’ve learned some things that Kelly hoped we never would. But in a wide-ranging interview, with quotes via the Philadelphia Inquirer, he attempted to address some of his most persistent questions.

“I think most people do, don’t they? Unless you’re a Kardashian,” he said.

When pressed on the subject and how Andre Johnson Indianapolis Colts Jersey it relates to football, he added this: “I look at it from the Navy SEALs point of view: ‘I do not advertise the nature of my work, nor do I seek recognition for my actions.'”

The Lions’ secondary was expected to be a huge weakness last season, but they held up well due to surprising seasons from Slay and safety James Ihedigbo, among others. They wound up being a pleasant surprise, but life could be tougher this season without Suh pushing the pocket on passing downs. They certainly don’t match up with Seattle in depth up front or in the secondary.

The Lions’ defense is one of the X-factors in the NFC North, and it wouldn’t be surprising if they fell off dramatically from Youth Nike Indianapolis Colts 81 Andre Johnson Elite Royal Blue Team Color Jersey last year’s highs. For the Lions’ defense to truly be mentioned with Seattle, they need to excel year after year. And they need Slay to do his best Richard Sherman impression.

The team did a study that found the rate of reinjury to be anywhere from 10 to 12 percent. “So that’s an 88-to-90 percent chance they’re going to be successful.”

The piece, linked above, is well worth your Andre Johnson Jersey time if only because Kelly is forced to answer so many of the questions that have been plaguing him throughout the summer. Maybe he can finally regain some element of the privacy he was searching for.

Pittsburgh Steelers LeVeon Bell Jersey celebrate 50th year at Saint Vincent College

LATROBE, Pa. — Antonio Brown rolled up to the players’ dorm for camp on Saturday in a matte-black Rolls Royce with a yellow racing stripe down the middle, Steeler logos on the rear-view mirrors and his signature emblazoned on the sides.

You’d think something like that would be a tough point of reference for an NFL owner in his 60s.

But Art Rooney didn’t have to dig deep to play it off. He immediately said to his star receiver — “Antonio, watch your keys.” And then, he told Brown a story from the ’70s about how he and fellow ballboy Bill Nunn swiped Mean Joe Greene’s keys and took the-then rookie’s brand new Lincoln Continental out for “a little ride.”

“We didn’t tell Joe until about 10 years ago,” Rooney said, with a smile.

And that right there might be the greatest positive that this venerable place still retains for the Steelers, in an era where training camp isn’t really “camp” anymore, and more clubs are forgoing the ambiance of far-flung campuses for the comforts of home.

Saint Vincent College has, in many ways, tied a half-century of Steelers generations together. The team on Sunday celebrated 50 years of camp at the small Benedictine school, a tradition LeVeon Bell Jersey rarely seen these days.

Maybe that’s why you see Ike Taylor standing alongside Carnell Lake behind the secondary during 7-on-7s, the just-retired corner here helping out and catching up with one of foundation pieces of the 90s, who’s coaching the corners. Or you look over, and there’s Joey Porter, now the outside linebackers coach, with Charlie Batch, who (like Taylor) is in Latrobe in an unofficial capacity.

Or you see Todd Haley telling second-year running back Dri Archer that he was on the same field 40 years ago, running around as a kid.

A few minutes later, Haley, now theSteelers’ offensive coordinator, points up to the open hill in front of him and explains where the dorms were when he stayed here with his dad Dick, who was the scouting-side architect of the 1970s dynasty. He then points over at the dorms where the players and coaches are now and says, “these weren’t here.”

“I know what the root beer tasted like out of that little coaches office up there on the corner — I got millions of memories,” Haley continued. “It’s amazing for me to come back and be a part of something that was really all I knew as a kid. My life revolved around the Steelers and my Men’s Nike Pittsburgh Steelers 26 Leveon Bell Elite Team Color Black Jersey father, and being on this hill and watching Mean Joe and all them walk up the gauntlet. It’s 40 years. I mean, they’ve been here 50 years, I wasn’t far behind as a kid being up here.”

The construction of new (and pricey) practice facilities and advances in technology, as well as the shortening of camp and rise in rules governing coaches, have been attributed as reasons why so many teams now stay home.

The old Cheese League (there were once five teams stationed in Wisconsin for camp) has long been down to one, that one being the team that actually calls the state home. Two of my favorites from my early years covering the league — Northern Arizona University (Cardinals) and Lehigh (Eagles) — have more recently been shuttered as NFL sites.

And there’s no reason to think more won’t be deciding soon that it’s not worth the trouble to go away.

Conversely, the Steelers find value in doing it this way. Haley says it’s impossible to measure the benefit he’s seen, now in his fourth year back with the team. He even concedes, “the Patriots, they’re at their place and they win the Super Bowl,” before steadfastly adding, “I believe in it.”

He saw it work for his dad. It works for him now, for a lot of the same reasons.

And if you think about it, that’s kind of the idea in a nutshell, and enough to outweigh the alternative.

“I think for us, it’s hard to think of what doesn’t work,” said Art. “Our fans love it here. Our players love it here. Our coaches love LeVeon Bell Jersey for Sale it here. It’s been a good place for us, and we’ve been successful coming out of here. What’s not to like?”

Ravens Justin Tucker owner jersey denies report he’s pressured Goodell

Baltimore Ravens Justin Tucker owner Steve Bisciotti has issued a statement denying a report he has exerted any pressure on NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell to uphold the four-game suspension of Patriotsquarterback Tom Brady.

ESPN’s Sal Paolantonio told a San Diego radio station on Friday that Bisciotti and Colts owner Jim Irsay were among a group of AFC owners who would be angered if the NFL were to exonerate Brady and vacate the quarterback’s suspension.

“I have not and will not put any pressure on the Commissioner or anyone representing the NFL office to take action in what everyone is calling ‘Deflategate,’ ” Bisciotti said Sunday in a team-issued statement. “The story circulating that I have put pressure on Roger (Goodell) is 100 percent wrong.

“The reports are unfair to (Patriots owner) Robert Kraft, who is an honorable person, and to his franchise. Let’s talk about football and the start of training camps. Fans and people like me want the issue resolved now.”

The NFL announced on May 11 that Brady was suspended for violating the NFL policy on the integrity of the game. That came less than a week after independent investigator Ted Wells found that it was “more probable than not” that Brady was “at least generally aware of the inappropriate activities” regarding the deflation of Patriots game balls used in the AFC Championship Game against the Colts.

Brady’s appeal was heard on June 23, a process that included ten hours of testimony at the league’s New York headquarters. The Patriots report to training camp on Wednesday.

NFL Media’s Albert Breer asked Steelers president Art Rooney on Sunday about the potential of owners influencing Goodell.

“No, this part of it is Roger’s decision, absolutely Men’s Nike Baltimore Ravens 9 Justin Tucker Elite Team Color Purple Jersey,” Rooney said.

“It’s in the commissioner’s hands. I assume it’ll be soon, but I really don’t know.”

UPDATE: Paolantonio backed off his Justin Tucker Ravens Jersey comments during a Monday appearance on WJZ-FM in Baltimore.

“I think (Bisciotti is) 100 percent right to put the statement out because he hasn’t put any pressure on Roger Goodell, and he hasn’t talked about ‘Deflategate’ at all, publicly or privately from what I was told,” Paolantonio said. “Reports up in New England were that I said owners were pressuring Goodell. Everybody just heard it. I never said that owners were pressuring Goodell. But what I said about Steve Bisciotti, I shouldn’t have even said that because it’s pretty clear when you read his statement that it sounds like he doesn’t care what the commissioner does. He just wants the commissioner to act.

“I was wrong to say what I said because clearly it sounds like Steve Bisciotti doesn’t care. And what I was able to find out pretty clearly, is that the owners are not pressuring Roger Goodell, at all. So I never should have reported that. And the other thing, too, is that it wasn’t a Justin Tucker Jersey report. It was just me talking on a radio station. It was my opinion and it was speculation.”

Ross Custom Angels pitches Mike Trout perfect ninth, jersey homers for Cubs

CHICAGO — There are two baseballs in their own glass cases on the top shelf of catcher David Ross’ locker. One came Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim Authentic Personalized Home White Cool Base Jersey after he threw a perfect eighth inning on May 9 against the Brewers. The other was waiting on his chair when he arrived in the Cubs’ clubhouse on Sunday.

For the second time this season, Ross threw a perfect inning of relief, this one in the ninth inning of an 11-5 loss to the Phillies. But this time, Ross added a home run in the same frame.

Ross became the first position player in the Los Angeles Angels Personalized Jersey club’s history to make multiple pitching appearances since Doug Dascenzo did so in 1991.

“I don’t really want to be out there, first of all,” Ross said. “It doesn’t mean a whole lot to me other than it was a lot of fun. It helped our bullpen save an inning down there and put a smile on a couple guys’ faces, as well as mine.”

The 38-year old Ross pitched for the first time in his career at Milwaukee as the Cubs trailed, 12-4, in the eighth inning. This time, Cubs manager Joe Maddon said he offered Ross the chance to make his “home Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim Authentic Personalized 2013 Road Gray Cool Base Jersey debut.”

Ross wasn’t going to wow scouts with his performance just because of his numbers, though. He threw eight pitches — each one a fastball — topping out at 72 mph.

Ross forced a flyout to left field — where Mike Trout All Star Jersey catcher Kyle Schwarber played for the last inning — and then got the next two batters to ground out.

“My goal was to throw it right down the middle and then see how fast,” Ross said. “I know how hard [hitting] is, judging from my batting average, so I just try to throw it and see if they hit it at somebody.”

Ross followed his appearance on the mound by crushing a hanging slider on a 2-2 count to left field for his first home run of the season.

“It was good to lighten the mood there at the end because nobody was feeling good about today,” Maddon said.

After the game, Ross’ phone lit up with Albert Pujols All Star Jersey messages as he talked to the media. Fans chanted “M-V-P” afterward for the 13-year old veteran, and even his teammates were impressed in an otherwise rough game.

“How about David Ross?” starter Mens Los Angeles Angels American League Authentic Albert Pujols 2015 All Star MLB Baseball BP Jersey Jason Hammel said to open his media session. “He’s a pretty good ballplayer.”

Greinke’s Joe Carter streak ends in throwback NY at 45 2/3 innings

NEW YORK — The Mets ended Zack Greinke’s scoreless streak at 45 2/3 innings on Sunday by scoring a run on pitcher Jacob deGrom’s fielder’s choice in the third inning. The Dodgers lost the game, 3-2.

Greinke apparently enjoyed pitching during the streak more than he did talking about it.

“If anything, I feel negative about it,” he said. “Now I don’t have to answer questions all the time.”

Greinke started his trouble by hitting Joe Carter Throwback Jersey Kirk Nieuwenhuis with a pitch leading off the third.Kevin Plawecki then looped a single to center, where Joc Pederson was charged with an error after mishandling a short hop to allow Nieuwenhuis to advance to third. deGrom bounced to first baseman Adrian Gonzalez, who threw to catcher Yasmani Grandal, but Nieuwenhuis slid in under the tag.

The run was ruled earned by the official scorer — and therefore also ended Greinke’s streak without allowing a run of any kind– who determined that if Nieuwenhuis had only Joe Carter Jersey reached second base on Plawecki’s single, Nieuwenhuis would have taken third on deGrom’s bouncer and would have tagged and scored on Curtis Granderson’s fly ball to right field.

Greinke has the fourth-longest streak since 1961, behind Orel Hershiser (59), Don Drysdale (58) and Bob Gibson (47). It was the third-longest streak in Dodgers history, behind Hershiser and Drysdale. Teammate Clayton Kershaw currently has a 29-inning streak.

“Five years ago I thought that one and Joe DiMaggio’s [56-game hitting streak] were the two toughest,” Greinke said. “It looks like people are getting closer to the Hershiser one.”

Greinke was pitching for the Custom Blue Jays Jersey first time in a week, and one day after returning from Los Angeles following the birth of his first child. He ended up allowing two runs over seven innings.

“Surprisingly, it wasn’t as distracting as you’d think flying back and forth cross country,” he said. “I felt strong today. I would maybe complain, but I started off really well and got worse. You’d think if it bothered me, I would have started off bad and get better.”
