Triston McKenzie looks forward to Personalized Seahawks Jersey Futures Game

CLEVELAND — Triston McKenzie’s hometown is roughly an hour’s drive north of Personalized Seahawks Jersey Marlins Park in Miami. That made his being named to the 2017 SiriusXM Futures Game not only an honor for the Indians prospect, but an opportunity for him to pitch in front of some family and friends.

“I’m expecting a couple people to come out,” McKenzie said.

Just a couple?

“Parents. Grandparents. My brother. Uncles. Close friends.  Custom Seahawks Jersey Coaches,” he continued with a laugh.

McKenzie (United States) will join Indians catching prospect Francisco Mejia (World) at this year’s Futures Game, which will be broadcast live on MLB Network and MLB.com at 4 p.m. ET today from Marlins Park. It will be a chance for a national audience to get a look at the club’s No. 1 (Mejia) and No. 2 (McKenzie) prospects, as ranked by MLBPipeline.com Kevin Pillar Jersey.
Men’s Majestic Flexbase Authentic 11 Kevin Pillar Toronto Blue Jays Alternate Royal Blue Jersey.

This is the first trip to the Futures Game for the 19-year-old McKenzie and the second invitation in a row for Mejia. On the active Major League roster, the Tribe has Futures Game alumni in Lonnie Chisenhall (2010), Edwin Encarnacion (2003-05), Jason Kipnis (2011), Francisco Lindor (2012-14), Carlos Santana (2009) and Bradley Zimmer (2015).

It’s a nice little compliment to him,” Minor League pitching coordinator Ruben Niebla said. “We’re happy for him to be able to experience that and experience it with his family. It’s a nice feeling to know that you are recognized industry-wide.
Men’s Nike Custom Made St. Louis Rams Elite Navy Blue Team Color Jersey for Sale Hopefully, he has a good time and he enjoys it.

“I’ve coached in two of those. It’s as close to a Major League experience that you can have as a ballplayer.”

McKenzie — listed at 6-foot-5 and 165 pounds — was selected in the first round (42nd overall) out of Royal Palm Beach (Fla.) High School in the 2015 Draft, and the right-hander has been cruising up the organizational ladder. McKenzie has overpowered hitters at Class A Advanced Lynchburg this season and could be ticketed for Double-A before the summer is over.

Facing Class A competition that is nearly four years older than him on average, McKenzie has posted a 2.91 ERA with 115 strikeouts and 32 walks in 89 2/3 innings (16 starts) this year. With a three-pitch arsenal (four-seamer, curveball and changeup), McKenzie has limited batters to 60 hits and a .187 average. He has three double-digit strikeout games, including a 14-strikeout performance against Carolina on May 9.

In his most recent start, McKenzie took the hill on Independence Day and struck out 11 in seven innings against Wilmington. He allowed three hits, one unearned run and no walks.

“To be consistent, it’s using all three of my pitches,” McKenzie said. “Early on, and especially last year, I was kind of a two-pitch guy. I’d use Custom Rams Jersey my fastball and my curveball the majority of the time. I think introducing my changeup more into my game, and using it more often than I was, it allowed me to go deeper into games, and I think it just opened me up and made me a

better pitcher overall.”

Niebla echoed McKenzie’s self-assessment.

When McKenzie first broke into the Indians’ farm system, the organization worked with him on altering aspects of his lower half to alleviate some issues with his old across-the-body throwing motion. Once some of those kinks were ironed out — helping the pitcher locate better to both sides of the plate — Niebla said one of the main goals this season was to continue to hone his changeup.

“Little by little, we see that process Personalized Rams Jersey heading in the right direction,” Niebla said. “There’s been a maturity process that has happened here in the last couple years that has turned in a positive direction. Although we still have time to go, I think we’re in a good spot with him overall.”

Tigers, Tribe face off in crucial Personalized Seahawks Jersey matchup

Entering the final week and a half before the All-Star break, the Tigers stared down seven pivotal games against Cleveland, the leader of the American League Central. A rainout Personalized Seahawks Jersey and 1-2 result in four home games soured Detroit’s chances to gain on the reigning AL champs, but this weekend serves as another opportunity as the Tigers and Indians start a three-game set on Friday night at Progressive Field.Men’s Majestic Flexbase Authentic 11 Kevin Pillar Toronto Blue Jays Alternate Royal Blue Jersey.

Jordan Zimmermann and Carlos Carrasco will face off just six days after Carrasco won a 4-1 pitchers’ duel at Comerica Park in the nightcap of a Custom Seahawks Jersey doubleheader. Zimmermann and the Tigers held a 1-0 lead entering the sixth before the Indians posted four runs in the inning.

Full Game Coverage

Zimmermann had a red-hot beginning of June, with a 2.25 ERA over 20 innings in three starts. His three starts since, however, reflect his struggles from earlier
Men’s Nike Custom Made St. Louis Rams Elite Navy Blue Team Color Jersey for Sale in the year: a 6.61 ERA in 16 1/3 innings.

Carrasco brushed aside a blowup outing two starts ago against Texas — in which he allowed eight earned runs for just Custom Rams Jersey the second time in his career — to beat Detroit and allow fewer than three runs for the fourth time in five starts.

Carrasco is 4-1 against the Tigers since the start of 2016, and he has allowed an average exit velocity of 85.5 mph in seven starts against them over the past two seasons, according to Statcast. Among the 23 pitchers with at least 50 batted Personalized Rams Jersey balls against Detroit during that time, that’s the lowest mark by more than 1 mph.

Three things to know about this game

• Having spent most of his career in the NL, Zimmermann’s sample Kevin Pillar Jersey size against the Indians is only three starts. But none of those starts have ended well, as he owns an 0-2 record and career highs in ERA (10.67) and WHIP (1.674) against them.

• During his three-start resurgence in early June, Zimmermann held opponents to 3-for-26 (.115) on his slider, according to Statcast. In his three starts since then, he’s allowed a .286 batting average (6-for-21) on the slider.

• Seven Tigers have faced Carrasco for at least 20 plate appearances. Of that group, J.D. Martinez has had the most success, going 8-for-22 (.364) with two
Youth Nike Seattle Seahawks NFL Elite Away White Custom Jersey Cheap homers and seven RBIs. Alex Avila has struck out in 10 of his 19 at-bats against Carrasco.

Indians missing Terry Francona Personalized Seahawks Jersey in dugout

CLEVELAND — A few miles east of Progressive Field, Indians manager Terry Francona has been monitoring his team from a hospital bed at the Cleveland Clinic. The specifics of Francona’s status remain vague, but the situation Custom Seahawks Jersey has been serious enough to keep him away from the dugout for the past three games.

On Thursday night, the Indians carried on, pushing aside the frustrations of the previous two games with an encouraging 11-2 victory over the Padres. As the fireworks popped overhead and the players lined up for the celebratory postgame handshakes, their leader was again noticeably absent.

Full Game Coverage

“We need him at the helm here, there’s no doubt about it,” starter Josh Tomlin said. “He’s a huge part of our success. He knows the game. He knows the players really Personalized Seahawks Jersey well. And his presence alone has that sense of calm in the dugout.”

Indians president of baseball operations Chris Antonetti met with reporters on both Tuesday and Wednesday, explaining that Francona was at the Clinic to undergo a series of tests in an effort to find out what has been ailing him recently. There was no such update either before or after Thursday’s win, but Antonetti said one day earlier that Francona would miss at least a few more games.

Last month, Francona exited games on June 13 and 26 due to being light-headed and an elevated heart rate, and he had been wearing a heart-rate monitor since the second episode in order for doctors to track his status. Following an off-day on Monday, Francona reported to Progressive Field on Tuesday, went over the day’s plan with bench coach Brad Mills and then headed to the Cleveland Clinic.

The time frame for Francona’s return, and whether this will impact his ability to manage the American League All-Star team on Tuesday in Miami, remains unclear.

“We don’t have any updates yet,” Mills said after Thursday’s game. “Hopefully we hear something pretty quick.”

Mills will handle the managerial duties until Francona’s return, and Antonetti noted that the team has not yet decided whether to add another person to the mix to help the coaching staff. Both Antonetti, and the players, said the environment created by Francona has led to a seamless transition for Mills, pitching coach Mickey Callaway, and the other coaches.

“The one thing about Tito,” closer Cody Allen said, “is he provides such a consistency and it’s worn off on a lot of the guys here. The staff that’s here — Millsy, Mickey, all those Kevin Pillar Jersey For Sale guys — they’re basically an extension of him.”

“Him and Millsy working together is one of the most impressive things Personalize Rams Jersey I’ve seen,” added outfielder Lonnie Chisenhall.

Over the past few days, players have continued to reach out to Francona, too.

“Our hearts are there,” outfielder Michael Brantley said. “We contact him when we can to make sure he’s doing OK. But, at the same time, we know that he wants us to go out there and play baseball, and play competitive baseball. When he gets back, it’s going to be a blessing. We know he’s going to be back — it’s just a matter of when. We’ll be excited to have him back.”

The players want to make sure Francona comes back at full strength.

When Francona discusses players who are sidelined with injuries, he always emphasizes the importance of not rushing back before Kevin Pillar Jersey being 100 percent. Around the clubhouse, multiple players echoed that sentiment in regards to Francona’s situation.

“Get it right and then get back when he’s ready to go,” Chisenhall said. “We need him in the dugout. I know it’s hurting him to not be able to be out there. He’s watching in some form, I’d imagine.”

Indians hit three homers in win Personalized Seahawks Jersey over Padres

CLEVELAND — Jose Ramirez, Edwin Encarnacion and Yan Gomes belted homers to back starter Josh Tomlin’s strong outing as the Indians avoided the sweep Personalized Seahawks Jersey with an 11-2 win over the Padres on Thursday night at Progressive Field.

After scoring just two runs total in the first two games of the set, combining to go 4-for-25 with runners in scoring position, the Tribe’s offense finally broke through in the finale. Ramirez and Lonnie Chisenhall
Men’s Nike Custom Made St. Louis Rams Elite Navy Blue Team Color Jersey for Sale each finished with three RBIs, while Encarnacion drove in two runs and tied a career high with four hits as he finished a triple shy of the cycle. Michael Brantley added an RBI triple and Bradley Zimmer picked up an RBI on a sacrifice fly.

Full Game Coverage

“We had so many hits from the middle of our lineup,” Indians bench coach Brad Mills said. “You look at Brantley, Edwin, Josey and Chiz as well. The middle of that order, man, really swung the bats well. The guys at the bottom were getting on. … It was nice to kind of get everybody kind of contributing and putting it together.”

Tomlin retired the first 12 batters he faced before Hunter Renfroe led off the fifth with a double. In all, Tomlin went seven-plus innings, and allowed two runs on four hits with six strikeouts and no walks to pick up his fifth win of the season.

“It’s huge for me being a guy who isn’t very powerful, so I have to control the count as much as I can,” Tomlin said. “Obviously, there’s certain situations where you don’t want to control the count, you want to pitch around guys. But for me, controlling the count and following [Gomes’] glove is huge. We were able to do that tonight, I was able to command the ball, and fortunately enough, I was able to go deep into the game and help us win the
Youth Nike Seattle Seahawks NFL Elite Away White Custom Jersey Cheap game.”

Padres rookie starter Dinelson Lamet was handed his third loss after allowing Custom Rams Jersey six runs (five earned) on six hits in four-plus innings. He walked four and struck out five on 86 pitches.

“He’s trying, he’s giving everything he’s got out there,” Padres manager Andy Green said. “He just had one of those days where he couldn’t seem to put it together. There was plenty of conversations in between innings trying to will him back onto the right path and get him moving again. He just struggled with his fastball more than anything else, and without the life on the fastball, the slider didn’t do enough.”

MOMENTS THAT MATTERED
Ramirez goes deep: After Lamet allowed a one-out, RBI triple to Brantley in the first, Padres pitching coach Darren Balsley went out to talk with the right-hander before he faced Ramirez. But Ramirez jumped on a 1-2 fastball over the heart of the plate and drove it to the seats in right-center to cap the three-run inning. Per Statcast™, the two-run homer had an exit velocity of 101 mph and traveled a projected 408 feet.

“I think it was probably my mechanics,” Lamet said of his start. “I wasn’t really finishing my pitches. I felt like I was peeling off a little bit, trying to aim them or trying to get them there. I don’t think it was fatigue or anything of that sort, luckily.”

Missed opportunity: Tomlin was perfect through four innings before allowing back-to-back hits — a double by Renfroe and a single by Cory Spangenberg — to open the fifth inning. The Padres got on the board with Erick Aybar’s RBI ground-rule double and Allen Cordoba’s sacrifice fly, to make it 5-2. However, Aybar was left stranded on third after Luis Torrens grounded out to third to end the inning.

“Those first four innings, I know he didn’t give up any hits, obviously the pitch count was down, but the way he went about it, moved the ball around, changed speeds, it was outstanding,” Mills said of Tomlin. “They started getting hits a little bit later on, but the way he was able to command the zone, work quick, there was no traffic because of the hits, obviously. At the same time, he really did a good job.”

QUOTABLE
“We think about him all the time. He’s probably still got a big part of what is going on in here on a daily basis. I think he’s probably not too happy in the hospital on a daily basis. We keep in contact. The guys on the team text him and we talk to him, just kind of keep him in the loop, talk to him. We need him at the helm here, there’s no doubt about it. He’s a huge part of our success.” — Tomlin, on manager Terry Francona, who is hospitalized

SOUND SMART WITH YOUR FRIENDS
Ramirez’s two-run homer in the first inning was his 48th extra-base hit of the season, which is the most by an Indians player before the All-Star break since 1998, when Jim Thome had 53.

Thursday marked the eighth time in Encarnacion’s career that he collected four hits in a game. The previous time was on Aug. 23, 2015, as a member of the Blue Jays. In addition, it was the first time since July 8, 2011 — against the Indians — that Encarnacion logged four hits and four runs scored.

“Even Edwin, three of his hits were going the other way,” Mills said. “And then he was able to hit that home run, which was just obviously on the right side. But just the way his approach was all night long and he was able to square some balls up doing that. It was sure nice to see.”

WHAT’S NEXT
Padres: Left-hander Clayton Richard (5-8, 4.85 ERA) will take the mound as the Padres open a three-game set with the Phillies at Citizens Bank Park on Friday at 3:35 p.m. PT. Richard will look to Personalize Rams Jersey bounce back after a rough start against the Dodgers on Friday, allowing seven runs on nine hits in 4 1/3 innings.

Indians: The Tribe will hand the ball to right-hander Carlos Carrasco (9-3, 3.50) for the opener of a three-game set with the Tigers at 7:10 p.m. ET on Friday at Progressive Field. In three starts against Detroit this year, Carrasco is 2-1 with a 2.29 ERA (five earned runs in 19 2/3 innings).

Indians Danny Salazar set for 6-10 Personalized Rams Jersey next rehab start

CLEVELAND — Indians Minor League pitching coordinator Ruben Niebla is home after spending time working with Danny Salazar at Double-A Akron. Niebla felt Salazar was in a much better place, physically and mechanically, when he left
Men’s Majestic Flexbase Authentic 11 Kevin Pillar Toronto Blue Jays Alternate Royal Blue Jersey the right-hander several days ago.

On Tuesday, Salazar was back in the Indians’ clubhouse at Progressive Field, continuing his rehab in preparation for his next step: A Minor League rehab outing for Triple-A Columbus on Thursday. During his last outing with Akron, the right-hander allowed three runs in 1 2/3 innings, but Niebla said Salazar’s health was more important than the pitching line.

Full Game Coverage

“I think he’s in a pretty decent spot,” Niebla said. “I think, last game, he just hadn’t faced hitters in so long. He was a little hesitant, I thought. I thought he was holding back just a tad, but he felt great, which for me is the No. 1 thing. If he’s feeling healthy, he’s going to get all this Custom Seahawks Jersey other stuff — his delivery, his routine — get it in a better spot.”

Salazar has been on the disabled list since June 4 due to a right shoulder issue, but Niebla said there have been no setbacks. After a dismal showing in May — Salazar went 1-4 with a 6.94 ERA in five starts — the righty was moved to the bullpen. Salazar made two relief appearances before landing on the DL.

In his next outing, Salazar is schedued to throw around 60-65 pitches, and Chris Antonetti Kevin Pillar Jersey, the Indians’ president of baseball operations, said Tuesday that the right-hander will continue to be stretched out as a starter. Given the inconsistency at the back of the Tribe’s rotation, the Indians are likely examining Custom Rams Jersey the trade market for external help.

Salazar could provide an internal solution, if back at 100 percent. Antonetti said Salazar’s progress could impact the approach the Indians take before the non-waiver Trade Deadline on July 31.

“Danny is a big part of that,” Antonetti said. “His health, his status and how we feel about his ability to impact us in the second half contributes to
Women’s Toronto Blue Jays Kevin Pillar Majestic Scarlet Fashion Canada Day Red Flex Base Authentic Jersey that. But, I think we might look a little more broadly, look at all of our pitching alternatives internally, and then try to develop an understanding of what external Kevin Pillar Jersey For Sale alternatives might be available, which guys could improve upon the group we might have currently, and what the acquisition cost might be.

“The one thing I would be confident in saying is a healthy Danny Salazar pitching to his capabilities is as good as any player we potentially could

Phillies Crawford leads IronPigs to Custom Rams Jersey win

Lehigh Valley had plenty of offensive stars on Tuesday, though none of them stood out quite like J.P. Crawford, who continued his recent resurgence by Custom Rams Jersey hitting two home runs in a 9-0 win against Syracuse.

The top-ranked Phillies prospect (No. 4 overall) connected on a pair of two-run shots in the contest, as he went deep in the fifth inning and once more in the seventh before finishing 2-for-5 with four RBIs. It was the third career two-homer performance for Crawford, who’s hit three of his five home runs this season in his last three games.

What’s more, Crawford is enjoying his most productive stretch of the season so far, as he pushed his hitting streak to six games with Tuesday’s big performance. The 22-year-old shortstop is batting .389 with five extra-base hits during that stretch, which in turn has boosted his average to a season-best .216

Crawford has looked like his usual top-prospect self since his return from an eight-game absence in mid-June — one that he used to both recover from a minor groin injury and to clear his head after batting .194/.313/.252 in his first 56 games. In 15 games since rejoining the lineup, he’s posted a .293 average with 10 extra-base hits in 15 games.Men’s Majestic Flexbase Authentic 11 Kevin Pillar Toronto Blue Jays Alternate Royal Blue Jersey.

“It really gave me time to just clear my head and get back to work,” Crawford told MiLB.com. “Something just clicked when I was hurt. I got back and felt good. I’m slowing everything down at the plate. I’m seeing the ball and trying to not do too much and go back to my old approach. It’s been working so I just have to keep trying to get better every day and stick to that approach.

“My confidence will never go down, that’s just the way I was raised growing up,” he added. “I’m never going to get down on myself because I know the hits are going to come eventually. I just have to put in the work every day.”

Dylan Cozens (No. 9) also homered in the victory, as it was his two-run blast in the first inning which started the scoring for Lehigh Valley. The 23-year-old outfielder is up to 19 homers this season, second in the International Kevin Pillar Jersey League, after pacing the Minors with 40 in 2016.

Scott Kingery (No. 11) paced the IronPigs’ offense out of the leadoff spot by going 4-for-5 with a double and two runs scored. He’s hitting .361 with six extra-base hits in nine games since being promoted to Triple-A.

“Ever since [Kingery] came, I started a hitting a lot better. So he needs to stay,” Crawford said. “The guy knows how to play a game. He’s a grinder and I love having him in the leadoff spot. The guy just gets after it every day, puts in the work every day. He’s a great guy and a great teammate, and I love playing up the middle with him.”

The rest of the best performances from top prospects Tuesday

• No. 22 overall prospect Brent Honeywell (Rays’ No. 2) returned to form as he scattered three hits over six scoreless frames to pace Triple-A Durham in a shutout of Charlotte. He threw 62 of his 93 pitches for strikes in the outing while walking one and striking out nine. It marked the 22-year-old right-hander’s fifth outing with nine or more strikeouts in 15 starts with
Women’s Toronto Blue Jays Kevin Pillar Majestic Scarlet Fashion Canada Day Red Flex Base Authentic Jersey the Bulls.

“Nothing really drastic has changed,” Honeywell told MiLB.com. “I’ve been working with Kyle Snyder, my pitching coach, and me and my catchers have been on the same page every start. I had a tough hand, man. I think that’s it. I haven’t really done anything different. It was refreshing to get back on track because I know that’s how I throw the ball.”

• No. 29 overall prospect Tyler O’Neill (Mariners’ No. 2) pushed his home run total to 13 as he went deep twice and scored three runs in a 3-for-5 effort Triple-A Tacoma. The 22-year-old masher has been heating up of late, with a .340 average, seven home runs and 17 RBIs over his last 12 contests.

• No. 34 overall prospect Jay Groome (Red Sox’s No. 2) tossed five scoreless frames of one-hit ball with one walk and a seven strikeouts in his first start for Class A Greenville since departing his season debut on April 10 with a lat injury. The 2016 No. 12 overall Draft pick did not allow a hit until the fourth inning en route to facing the minimum. Groome, 18, had allowed two earned runs with 13 strikeouts in 11 innings across three rehab starts in the New York-Penn League ahead of his return to the Drive’s
Youth Nike Seattle Seahawks NFL Elite Away White Custom Jersey Cheap starting rotation.

• No. 47 overall prospect Triston McKenzie (Indians’ No. 2) posted his third double-digit strikeout game of the season as he fanned 11 batters in seven innings in a win for Class A Advanced Lynchburg. The 19-year-old righty permitted one unearned run on three hits in the outing, also generating eight ground-ball outs Custom Rams Jersey and throwing 73 of his 91 pitches for strikes. McKenzie’s ERA sits at 2.91 after the performance, and he’s now compiled 115 strikeouts against 32 walks in 89 2/3 innings (16 starts).

• No. 87 overall prospect Ronald Acuna (Braves’ No. 7) extended his hitting streak to five games as he connected on his 10th home run of the season and seventh as a member of Double-A Mississippi. The 19-year-old is hitting .444 (8-for-18) with a pair of homers during those five contests, which has pushed his Double-A batting line to .321/.370/.500 through 51 games.

Astros’ No. 11 prospect Garrett Stubbs Kevin Pillar Jersey For Sale went 3-for-4 with his fourth home run, a sixth-inning solo shot, and a pair of doubles in Double-A Corpus Christi’s victory against Arkansas. After a slow start to his season, the 24-year-old backstop has gone 8-for-18 with four runs scored and three RBIs in his past four games. On the mound for the Hooks, Framber Valdez (No. 29) struck out nine over six innings while allowing one earned run on two hits and three walks. The 23-year-old lefty has allowed three earned runs while posting 29 strikeouts in his last 22 2/3 innings (four starts).

• One level down, Jake Rogers and Stephen Wrenn, the Astros’ Nos. 21 and 27 prospect, each hit a home run and drove in four while going 4-for-5 in Class A Advanced Buies Creek’s rout of Myrtle Beach. Rogers’ Custom Seahawks Jersey homer was his 11th of the season and fifth in Carolina League, while Wrenn connected on his sixth of the year and third since joining Buies Creek.

Nationals’ No. 10 prospect Jesus Luzardo worked 4 2/3 scoreless frames, allowing six hits and striking out five in a no-decision for the Gulf Coast League Nationals. It marked the second pro start for the 19-year-old lefty, who underwent Tommy John surgery as a high school senior in March 2016 before accepting an above-slot bonus as a third-round pick to sign with Washington.

Rangers’ No. 15 prospect Yanio Perez connected on a pair of home runs for Class A Advanced Down East — his first home runs in 19 games since being moved up to the Carolina League. Perez’s second homer, a two-run shot in the fifth inning, proved to be the game winner, as the Wood Ducks downed Winston-Salem, 7-6. The 21-year-old outfielder was promoted after he batted .322/.392/.533 with nine home runs in 49 games with Class A Hickory.

“Honestly, a little weight has been lifted off my shoulders, but that’s not what I strive to do,” Perez told MiLB.com through team trainer and translator Alex Rodriguez. “It’s not my game. I like to hit line drives up the middle, but honestly, it felt good to do it.

“I was more comfortable after the previous at-bat, just looking for a fastball in,” Perez said. “[There was a] man on second, I was trying to drive him in and I noticed Salem was pitching me inside a lot. My whole approach was looking for fastball in and attacking it, and that’s exactly what I did.”

Reds’ No. 20 prospect Phil Ervin went 3-for-5 with two doubles and a career-best five RBIs, though it wasn’t enough to keep Triple-A Louisville from falling to Toledo, 10-8. He’s hit safely in six straight games for the Bats to raise his average from .224 to .242.

Rockies’ No. 14 prospect Sam Howard scattered three hits over eight scoreless frames in his best performance since advancing to the Triple-A level. The 24-year-old lefty also matched his career high with 10 strikeouts as he paced Albuquerque in Personalized Seahawks Jersey a 2-0 shutout of Sacramento. He owns a 3.62 ERA in five starts for the Isotopes.

Yankees’ No. 18 prospect Nick Solak homered for a second straight game for Class A Advanced Tampa before finishing 1-for-3 with two walks. The 22-year-old second baseman has gone deep seven times in the Florida State League, where he’s hitting .305/.407/.466 through 76 games. Left-hander Ian Clarkin (No. 19) was equally impressive on the mound as he gave up four hits and struck out five over seven scoreless innings in a no-decision. The 22-year-old southpaw owns a 2.54 ERA in 60 1/3 innings this season, though he continues to miss few bats.

Indians’ Corey Kluber tosses another Custom Panthers Jersey gem

CLEVELAND — Corey Kluber peered in to get the sign, but Indians catcher Yan Custom Panthers Jersey  Gomes was resting on both knees. It was then that the Indians’ ace noticed the decibel level was rising at Progressive Field, along with the stadium’s sellout crowd.

For a brief moment, Kluber stepped off the rubber to allow the standing ovation to run its course in the eighth inning. Then, it was back to work for Kluber, whose record-setting gem went for naught in a 1-0 loss to the Padres on Tuesday night. In a tough defeat, Kluber’s audience recognized his club-

“They got loud, which was pretty cool,” Kluber said.

Inside Cleveland’s clubhouse after the loss, there Cleveland Indians Custom Jersey was plenty of disappointment over seeing Kluber’s eight-inning masterpiece go to waste. In the fifth, shortstop Francisco Lindor and second baseman Jason Kipnis each misfired in an attempt to turn double plays, leading to San Diego’s lone run on a fielder’s choice. In the batter’s box, the Indians put seven runners in scoring position, yet never scored.

Save for grabbing a bat himself, Kluber did all he could to try to win. Instead, in his first start since being named an American League All-Star, the right-hander took his third loss of the season.

“He’s been lights out.,” Kipnis said. “That’s not an Custom Indians Jersey earned run. That’s on me. That’s on the defense. It’s tough. It’s impressive Personalized Chiefs Jersey that he only needs one or two to get it done, so you don’t want him to change anything. We’ll make the

Kluber struck out 10, walked one and allowed five hits. His streak of five games with 10 or more strikeouts marks the 27th time since 1913 that a pitcher has enjoyed such a run. Eight straight games with 10-plus strikeouts Personalize Panthers Jersey is the record (Pedro Martinez in 1999; Chris Sale in 2015 and again earlier this year).

Kluber joined Martinez, Nolan Ryan, Curt Schilling, J.R. Richard, Dwight Gooden and Max Scherzer as the only right-handers to have a double-digit strikeout steak of five or more games.

“He’s getting stronger, confident,” said Indians bench coach Brad Mills, who managed in place of Terry Francona. “The way he’s throwing the ball is absolutely outstanding. There’s no doubt.”

Dating back to June 1, when Kluber came off the disabled list after a month-long bout with a lower back injury, the right-hander has been overpowering.

In seven starts over that span, Kluber has a 1.24 ERA, with 74 strikeouts against eight walks. He has a 0.69 WHIP in that span, and has limited batters to a .155/.196/.207 slash line. Over that stretch, Kluber also has a 40.2-percent strikeout rate, with 18.8 percent of his pitches resulting in

Despite missing a month, Kluber was still named an All-Star.

“It’s an honor,” said Kluber, who will join teammates Andrew Miller, Michael Brantley, Jose Ramirez and Lindor in Miami next week. “I’m looking forward to it. I think it’ll be cool to go down there with four other guys, and get to represent the Indians and kind of take in the couple days. Hopefully, I’ll have a lot of fun.”

One day after the All-Star announcement, Kluber was named the AL Pitcher of the Month for June. And on Tuesday, the pitcher’s home fans had a chance to give him a rousing ovation.

“He deserves it, that’s for sure,” Mills said.

Trevor Cahill, Padres’ bullpen blank Custom Chiefs Jersey Indians

CLEVELAND — Starter Trevor Cahill and the Padres’ bullpen combined to shut out the Indians in a 1-0 win in Tuesday’s series opener at Progressive Field.

Cahill was activated from the 10-day disabled list (right shoulder strain) prior to the game, and made his first start since May 13. He went 4 1/3 Custom Chiefs Jersey scoreless innings, allowing four hits and two walks, with four strikeouts. The Padres used five relievers — Jose Torres, Kirby Yates, Ryan Buchter, Brad Hand and Brandon Maurer — to preserve the shutout, combining for 4 2/3 innings and seven strikeouts.

“The pitching staff was outstanding today,” Padres manager Andy Green said. “Trevor Cahill coming back, breaking stuff just as good as ever, getting a lot of chases beneath the zone. Then, Jose Torres all the way through Brandon Maurer, everybody was outstanding. Real team win in that regard from the bullpen.”

The lone run came in the fifth inning off Indians starter Corey Kluber on an RBI fielder’s choice by Cory Spangenberg, who also had two hits and a stolen base.

In return from DL, Cahill goes 4 1/3 scoreless

“It was a great team win,” Cahill said. “The bullpen picked me up, and we Men’s Authentic Personalized Cleveland Indians Navy Blue Alternate 1 Jersey Sale were able to get one across against a guy that’s throwing the ball as good as anyone in the league right now, and it showed. Any time you can win those games, I feel like it counts as more than just one win.”

In his first start since being named an American League All-Star, Kluber pitched in ace form. He went eight innings and struck out 10, allowing one run on four hits. Kluber’s 10-strikeout performance marked his fifth straight start with double-digit strikeouts, setting a new franchise record and leading to a standing ovation after his final strikeout.

“They got loud, which was pretty cool,” Kluber said. “It was definitely appreciated.”

However, Kluber took the loss, as the Tribe couldn’t give him support. Cleveland had a runner reach third base four times, but never capitalized Personalize Panthers Jersey. The Indians went 0-for-10 with
Women’s Nike Personalized Carolina Panthers Elite Alternate Powder Blue NFL Jersey runners in scoring position, and 1-for-11 with runners on base.

Kluber tosses gem, K’s 10 for 5th start in a row

“It’s frustrating,” Indians second baseman Jason Kipnis said. “It’s not like we’re not capable of hitting with guys on base. It’s not Custom Indians Jersey like we don’t have the offense to do it. Just some nights, we press, or we swing at the wrong pitches and don’t get it done. Tonight was one of those games. It was unfortunate, because Corey pitched great.”

MOMENTS THAT MATTERED
Routine 1-3-2 double play: Cahill worked out of several jams, but perhaps the most important escape came in the second. After allowing a one-out triple to Indians third baseman Jose Ramirez, the Padres right-hander induced an unconventional 1-3-2 double play to end the inning. After Indians right fielder Lonnie Chisenhall grounded out on a weak roller back to the mound, first baseman Wil Myers threw home to catcher Austin Hedges to nab Ramirez trying to score from third to end the inning.

“When the ball was hit and he first started down, [Ramirez] thought he was far enough down himself to go ahead and go,” said bench coach Brad Mills, the acting manager on Tuesday night. “The pitcher just kind of glanced at him, didn’t really stop him, but he kind of glanced at him. He thought he was far enough down to go ahead and make it.”
Myers nabs Ramirez at home SD@CLE: Myers completes DP as he gets Ramirez at homeOn Lonnie Chisenhall’s ground out back to the pitcher, Wil Myers throws a strike to the plate to nab Jose Ramirez, completing the DP

“I got [the ball], and I figured he wasn’t going,” Cahill said. “In my peripherals, I didn’t see him going. I just got it and threw it to first, and, fortunately for us, he tried to sneak in. Wil was heads up and got it and threw it right home and threw a strike. That’s a huge play Personalized Chiefs Jersey to get out of the inning, and saved some bullets for later on in the game.”

Lone offense: Kluber cruised until allowing a leadoff single to Hector Sanchez in the fifth, followed by a walk to Carlos Asuaje. With two on and no outs, Kluber got Erick Aybar to hit a grounder to short. But Francisco Lindor recorded just one out at second, putting runners at the corners with one out. The next batter, Spangenberg, grounded to second, where Kipnis bobbled the ball and recorded only the out at second, allowing Sanchez to score from third.

“I was playing closer to the bag, ground ball right at me,” Lindor said of the first double-play chance. “I thought I was still close to the bag. I lost perception of how close I was to the bag, and it’s another [mental] error that shouldn’t be happening. That was the game right there.”

“I know the one to me was [a missed double play],” Kipnis said. “It just caught me in the palm a little bit, top-spinned a little bit more and caught me in the bad part of the glove, and popped out right in front of me. At that point, I just had to rush and get one. That needs to be turned.”

QUOTABLE
“They had a lot of guys on today. That’s kind of the second game in a row we’ve eked out a win, and we’ve stranded a ton of baserunners. That’s pitchers making big pitches, and defenders making big plays.” — Green, on the Padres’ victory

“It didn’t cross my mind once, to be honest with you. They drafted me, but I’ve been here since 2010, which is the majority of my career. I never made it past Double-A with the Padres before I got traded, so it’s not like I necessarily am playing against the team that I broke in with.” — Kluber, on facing San Diego, which picked him in the fourth round in the 2007 Draft

SOUND SMART WITH YOUR FRIENDS
Since 1913, there have been 27 instances in which a pitcher had at least 10 strikeouts in at least five games in a row. Kluber joins Pedro Martinez (six times), Nolan Ryan (three times), Max Scherzer (once), Curt Schilling (once), Dwight Gooden (once) and J.R. Richard (once) as the only right-handed pitchers to achieve the feat, and is one of 12 total pitchers to do so.

UPON FURTHER REVIEW
With two outs in the top of the eighth and Spangenberg at second, Kluber got Manuel Margot to hit a ground ball to Ramirez at third, but Margot beat the throw to first. Spangenberg tried to score from second, but first baseman Carlos Santana Custom Panthers Jersey threw home to catcher Yan Gomes, who tagged Spangenberg on a hesitated, feet-first slide between Gomes’ legs to try to score. After Spangenberg was called out, the Padres challenged the play. A review of 2 minutes, 17 seconds confirmed the call, ending the inning.

“Clearly looked safe to me,” Green said. “Clearly, from the top step, didn’t even feel like I needed a replay to have somebody tell me he was safe. Somebody came in and told me on the home broadcast they were saying that it was clearly safe. I don’t know what it is that it didn’t get overturned, but from my visual from the side in the dugout, you could see him sneak right under the tag.”

Full Game Coverage

Three things to Custom Chiefs Jersey know about this game

• Tomlin will make his first career start against the Padres, who drafted him in the 11th round of the 2005 MLB Draft. He didn’t sign with San Diego and was drafted by Cleveland a year later. This will be his 18th start in Interleague Play, where he has gone Cleveland Indians Custom Jersey 8-5 with a 4.65 ERA.Women’s Nike Personalized Carolina Panthers Elite Alternate Powder Blue NFL Jersey.

• Only two Padres hitters — Erick Aybar and Wil Myers — have faced Tomlin in their careers, but neither has had success against the Tribe hurler. Aybar has gone 1-for-15 with a double and a strikeout vs. Custom Panthers Jersey Tomlin, and Myers has gone 0-for-3.

• One of Lamet’s strongest pitches this season has been his slider. Per Statcast, opponents are hitting .123 with a .231 slugging percentage against the pitch. Indians’ Terry Francona undergoing Cleveland Indians Custom Jersey tests

CLEVELAND — Indians manager Terry Francona remained at the Cleveland Clinic Cleveland Indians Custom Jersey on Wednesday, and it could be a few more days before he is cleared to return to the dugout.

Chris Antonetti, the Indians’ president of baseball operations, met with reporters prior to Wednesday’s game against the Padres and noted that Francona was continuing to undergo testing to help determine what has been ailing him over the past several weeks. Until Francona is cleared to rejoin the team, bench coach Brad Mills will remain as the active manager.

Full Game Coverage

“He has actually completed a few tests already,” Antonetti said, “and has another one scheduled here today, and hopefully, we are in Custom Chiefs Jersey the process of narrowing down what has been causing his symptoms. And then, that way we can have it corrected and I’m confident we’re on that path.

“He will not be with the team tonight, and at this point, I don’t have a clear time frame for when he will return. But I think it will be at least a couple of days.”

Francona Custom Panthers Jersey missed Tuesday’s game due to being at the Cleveland Clinic, though Antonetti noted that the ongoing tests were not the result of any health setbacks. Francona experienced lightheadedness and an increased heart rate during home games on June 13 and June 26, prompting a trip to the hospital each time. Doctors have been working with Francona since the second episode in an effort to determine the root cause of the issues.
Men’s Authentic Personalized Cleveland Indians Navy Blue Alternate 1 Jersey Sale.

“Out of respect for Tito, I’ll stay away from too many specifics,” Antonetti said. “But what we Custom Indians Jersey said before about them having eliminated any major health issues remains true.”

At this point, an extended leave of absence for Francona has not been Personalize Panthers Jersey discussed, according to Antonetti, who added that the Indians have not made a decision one way or another yet on whether Francona will manage the American League on Tuesday at the All-Star Game in Miami.

“We haven’t made any sort of decisions or determinations on that,” Antonetti said. “I think we want to take it one step at a time. The first part of that is finishing this first round of tests.”

Santana to paternity list
Prior to Wednesday’s game against the Padres, the Indians placed first baseman Carlos Santana on Major League Baseball’s paternity list, which
Women’s Nike Personalized Carolina Panthers Elite Alternate Powder Blue NFL Jersey allows him to be away from the team for between one to three days. Cleveland activated outfielder Abraham Almonte from the 10-day disabled list to take Santana’s place on the active roster.

Almonte had been sidelined since May 15 after straining his right biceps tendon, and he went through a pair of Minor League rehab assignments with Triple-A Columbus. In 14 games with the Clippers, Almonte hit .311 with two homers, three doubles, three RBIs and eight runs scored. The outfielder opened the season with the Indians and hit .221 in 33 games prior to the injury.

Kipnis scratched
Indians second baseman Jason Kipnis was scratched from Wednesday’s lineup due to neck spasms, which is the same issue that kept him sidelined on June 14-15. With Kipnis out, utility man Erik Gonzalez started at second base and hit ninth for the Tribe.
